Our representative will be there to receive you at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction). You will be assisted with the transfer to Darjeeling.
At an altitude of 2123 meters (7001 feet) lies this land of breathtaking beauty. Known as the Queen of the Hills, it features sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of Mount Everest and is home to the famous World Heritage train—the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). Check into your hotel. The evening is free to roam around the Mall or the local shopping center. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Early morning at around 3:45 AM, drive to 8000 feet (2440 meters) through primitive forests of oak and magnolia to Tiger Hill to view the sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace Memorial, and the Batasia Loop. Return to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, begin the next round of sightseeing. This half-day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Closed on Sunday), and the Peace Pagoda. Later, transfer to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
After morning breakfast, drive out for a city tour of Gangtok. The sightseeing will cover multiple points while minimizing travel distance, making the drive easy and comfortable.
Visit the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Research Institute of Tibetology, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery, White Hall, Flower Show, Ganesh Tok, Hanuman Tok, Tashi View Point, and Banjhakri Falls—one of the finest waterfalls close to Gangtok. Return to the hotel. The evening is free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local shopping centers. (There are a few discotheques in Gangtok to spend time in). Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Morning breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, transfer from Gangtok to Siliguri / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) / Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand. Guests are advised to start early and not to rush.
On the final day, have a hearty breakfast and you will be safely taken to the Gaya International Airport for a connecting flight to your destination. (***If applicable).
